The Drape is a 205mm square industrial pendant light with a black metal cage frame enclosing a single central E27 bulb holder. The open-frame construction allows the bulb itself to become part of the visual design, with the metal cage providing both structure and a defined geometric silhouette. The matt black finish on the steel frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping attention on the bulb and the shadows the frame casts on surrounding surfaces.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallways where individual task lighting is needed, the Drape works best when hung 700-900mm above a surface or clustered in multiples along a run. The compact 205mm footprint suits narrower island worktops and smaller dining tables without overwhelming the space. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor areas only, but the cage design allows heat from the bulb to dissipate effectively, making it compatible with higher-output LED or halogen E27 bulbs up to the manufacturer's rating.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific E27 bulb you choose — use a dimmable LED or halogen bulb with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor covered areas or anywhere exposed to moisture.

The Drape hangs from a matt black chain attached to a matching ceiling rose. The chain length can be adjusted during installation to suit the ceiling height and the surface below. The fitting is designed for standard UK ceiling roses and requires mains wiring by a qualified electrician.
