Description

At 46cm the Dentil bollard stands at ankle to knee height, lighting the ground you walk on and nothing above it. The Dentil is two-tiered in the roof with a scalloped lower edge, over six vertically barred panes. It is a lantern on a cast pedestal rather than a lantern on a spike. The Dentil sits behind real glass panes rather than moulded plastic. The powder paint is baked on rather than sprayed, so it keeps its colour against sun and salt instead of chalking off in a season or two.

Real glass behind vertical bars, which is what makes it read as period rather than reproduction. The first image is the manufacturer's own scale drawing of this bollard, filled in the black finish it is supplied in at 46cm, not a photograph: the manufacturer's photograph of the Dentil shows a different variant, and we would rather draw this one accurately than show you the wrong product. The bollard bolts down to a pad or a paver, and the supply cable comes up through the base from below. Set the duct before you lay the surface, because cutting one in afterwards is the hard way round. Wiring is work for a qualified electrician: it wants a terminal approved to EN 60998-2-1 or EN 60998-2-2 in a wiring box rated IP68, which is the manufacturer's own instruction.
