Description
The Dax is a compact LED wall light with a cylindrical heritage brass head mounted on a circular brass backplate via an adjustable pivot joint. The integrated 8W LED inside the cylinder casts a directed beam through the front aperture, providing focused task or accent light rather than broad ambient illumination. The cylindrical head measures 171mm in height and 121mm in width at the backplate, with an on/off switch integrated into the fitting.
Designed for task lighting in hallways, reading positions beside beds, and accent lighting in living rooms or kitchens, the Dax works where directed light is needed on a specific surface or object. The pivot joint allows the head to be angled after installation, so the beam can be pointed towards artwork, a bedside reading position, or down a corridor. The compact footprint suits narrow walls, alcoves and spaces between architectural features where a larger fitting would overwhelm the proportion.
The heritage brass finish is a warm, slightly aged-looking brass tone with subtle tonal variation across the brushed metal surface. This finish pairs comfortably with traditional, transitional and mid-century interiors, and sits alongside both warm timber tones and cooler greys. The integrated 3000K LED provides a warm white light output, and the fitting is controlled via the on-board switch rather than requiring a wall switch to be wired separately.

Frequently Asked
Is the Dax dimmable?
The integrated LED runs at a fixed 8W output on 230V mains. The fitting includes an on/off switch but is not dimmable unless paired with a compatible mains dimmer during installation. Please contact us to confirm dimmer compatibility before wiring.
Can the head be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The cylindrical head pivots on a joint fixed to the backplate, allowing the beam to be angled towards a reading position, artwork, or down a hallway after the fitting is mounted on the wall.
What rooms is this suitable for?
The Dax works well as bedside reading light, hallway task light, or accent light in living rooms and kitchens where you need to highlight specific surfaces or objects. The compact size suits narrow walls and alcoves.
Does it require a wall switch or does it have its own control?
The fitting includes an integrated on/off switch on the backplate, so it can be controlled without needing a separate wall switch. It can also be wired to a wall switch if preferred during installation.
