This wall light matches a natural ash wood back plate and a simple linear arm with a soft vintage white shade for a gentle, lived-in look. The 16cm tapered Ivy shade is made from a vintage white cotton mix, finished with a contrasting almond white taped edge that frames the fabric neatly. An adjustable knuckle lets you tilt the head up or down to place the light. The fitting measures 200mm tall and projects 225mm from the wall, takes a single B22 bulb up to 7W, and is fully dimmable so you can drop the level in the evening.

The Danemere is an easy fit for bedrooms, where the adjustable arm turns it into a tidy bedside reading light without taking up table space. It brings a warm welcome to hallways and landings, and it looks at home above a chair or beside a mirror in the living room. The vintage white shade keeps things quiet and neutral, so it settles into classic and country-style rooms as well as calmer modern schemes, letting the ash wood and brass details do the talking.

The metalwork is finished in brushed aged brass, a soft warm tone that reads well next to the pale wood back plate. The arm and wall back need a little assembly, with a fixing tool supplied so you have what you need to hand. It is rated IP20 and wired as an earthed Class 1 fitting, which means dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. Clean it by switching off, letting the bulb cool, then wiping the metal with a soft dry cloth and brushing dust from the fabric.
