Description
The Dallas is a 20-light semi-flush ceiling light built around a molecular-style chrome frame that branches out across a 75cm diameter, each arm terminating in a smoky glass globe housing a G9 bulb (sold separately). The polished chrome finish on the metal frame contrasts with the dark tinted glass, which softens the direct light output from each bulb and creates an ambient glow across the fitting.
Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the Dallas sits just 22.5cm below the ceiling, keeping the light source above head height in most residential and commercial settings. The wide 75cm spread suits living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners, and commercial reception areas where the fitting can sit centrally over a seating or dining zone. The molecular branching arrangement distributes light more evenly across the room than a single-point pendant, reducing hard shadows underneath the fitting.
Each of the twenty G9 bulbs accepts up to 28W halogen or the LED equivalent (typically 3-5W LED for similar output). The smoky glass globes are mouth-blown, so tonal variation between individual globes is normal. The chrome frame is polished to a mirror finish, amplifying reflections from the glass and multiplying the visual presence of the light sources. The IP20 rating restricts the Dallas to dry indoor environments only.
The fitting weighs approximately 4.5kg when fully assembled with bulbs, requiring a secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced ceiling rose. The molecular frame ships partially disassembled with bulb arms threaded onto the main chassis during installation, allowing the fitting to pack flat and giving some flexibility in final arm positioning.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Dallas take?
The fitting takes twenty G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 28W halogen or the LED equivalent (typically 3-5W LED for similar light output). Bulbs are sold separately. G9 is a small bi-pin base that pushes into the socket rather than screwing in.
Is the Dallas suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The fitting projects just 22.5cm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The wide 75cm diameter provides distributed light without needing the drop of a traditional pendant.
Can the smoky glass be cleaned?
Yes. Each globe can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth once the fitting is switched off and the bulbs have cooled. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass or chrome frame while the fitting is installed.
Is the Dallas dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose. If using halogen G9 bulbs, the fitting will work with most standard trailing-edge dimmers. If using LED G9 bulbs, check that the specific LED model is marked as dimmable and pair it with an LED-compatible dimmer.
