At 43cm wide and 48cm deep, our Curious Dining Chair keeps a compact footprint that suits smaller rooms and busy kitchens, while the 77.5cm overall height brings the backrest up to a comfortable, supportive level. It slides neatly under a dining table when not in use, so you can free up floor space without losing a seat. Weighing just 4.7kg, it lifts and repositions easily whenever you need to rearrange the room or make space for guests.

The seat and small curved backrest are made from smoked oak, giving the chair a warm, softly grained finish that pairs well with both painted and natural wood tables. Four slim splayed legs in steel lift the whole thing off the floor and keep the look light and open, so the chair never feels heavy in a space. We left the seat unupholstered and armless, which makes it quick to wipe down and easy to pull close to the table. It is built from plywood, steel and polyester, a combination we chose for strength across daily use while keeping the weight low.
