Description

The Crystal Skye is a 654mm linear island chandelier built around a polished chrome frame set with rows of triangular crystal prisms and rounded crystal elements at the base. Eight 3W LED G9 bulbs (included) sit behind the prisms, casting light through the faceted crystal to create reflected patterns across kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan spaces.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, long dining tables and bar counters, the chandelier provides concentrated task and ambient light across a linear area rather than a single point. The 1829mm suspension wire allows drop adjustment between 300mm and 2007mm on installation, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights and taller double-height spaces. The IP44 rating allows safe use in bathrooms where moisture is present, including above freestanding baths in large bathroom suites.

The triangular crystal prisms are arranged in staggered rows along the 654mm length of the chrome frame, with each prism positioned to catch and refract the LED light differently depending on viewing angle. The rounded crystal elements at the base add a second layer of refraction, turning the fixture into a light sculpture when viewed from below. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light from the room during the day and pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary fittings.

The eight 3W LED G9 bulbs run at 3000K warm white and are included in the box, removing the need to source compatible bulbs separately. The combined 24W LED output provides working light across a 2-3m island or dining table without the heat output of halogen equivalents. The chrome canopy measures 125mm x 188mm and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating means the chandelier is protected against water splashes, making it safe for use in bathrooms including above freestanding baths. Ensure it is installed outside shower spray zones and that bathroom ventilation is adequate to prevent long-term moisture buildup on the crystal.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension wire is adjustable during installation between 300mm minimum and 2007mm maximum drop. Once the chandelier is wired and fixed, the drop cannot be adjusted without re-installation. For a kitchen island, typical installation height is 700-900mm above the worktop surface.
