Description

The Crest is a single-head GU10 spotlight in brushed nickel, consisting of a cylindrical adjustable head mounted on a circular backplate. The head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing the beam to be directed towards worktops, artwork, or architectural features. The GU10 lamp holder accepts standard mains-voltage GU10 bulbs up to 50W (bulb sold separately).

Designed for task lighting in kitchens, hallways, home offices and utility rooms, the Crest can be surface-mounted on walls or ceilings where targeted light is needed without running a pendant. The 100mm projection from the wall keeps the head clear of vertical surfaces, while the 60mm backplate diameter makes it suitable for positioning above kitchen worktops, beside bathroom mirrors (in zones 3 and above only, given the IP20 rating), or along hallways for accent lighting.

The brushed nickel finish provides a mid-tone metallic surface that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary interiors without the high reflectivity of polished chrome. The metal construction gives the fitting a solid 0.3kg weight despite its compact size. The Crest is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 dimmable LED bulb and appropriate dimmer switch, allowing light output to be adjusted for different times of day.

What bulb does it take?

The Crest takes a standard GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W GU10 LED in 3000K or 4000K depending on whether warm or neutral white light is preferred for the room.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Crest is suitable only for dry indoor environments. In bathrooms it can be used in zone 3 (more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower enclosure) but not in zones 0, 1 or 2 where moisture and water spray are present.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable GU10 LED bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will flicker or fail on a dimmer circuit, so check the bulb specification before installing on a dimmed circuit.

Can the head be angled?

Yes. The spotlight head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing the beam to be directed where needed. The joint holds position once set and does not require re-tightening during normal use.
