Description

The Cranshaw is a tiered tubular glass pendant that sets fine ribbed clear glass cylinders amongst polished chrome metalwork, building up in layers for a bold, decorative shape. It holds twelve G9 lamps and measures 500mm across, hanging from a 1.5m chain with clear cable. The ribbed glass tubes catch and split the light, giving a bright, glittering effect that makes the fitting a strong focal point overhead, and at around 7.3kg it has real presence on the ceiling.

A tiered pendant like this is made to light a room with a sense of grandeur, so it suits hallways, dining rooms and stairwells with the height to show it off. The layered glass reads well from below and from the side, and twelve lamps give plenty of light for a larger space. It is dimmable, so you can keep it bright for gatherings and drop it low for evenings. Rated IP20, it is intended for dry indoor rooms.

This version is finished in polished chrome, paired with the fine ribbed clear glass cylinders. Wipe the glass and metalwork with a soft dry cloth to keep the tubes clear and bright; the fitting is on the heavier side, so take care when cleaning and make sure the ceiling fixing is secure. The Cranshaw is made for G9 LED lamps, and a satin brass version is also available to suit a warmer scheme.
