Description

The Corvella is a 550mm table lamp built around a solid block of white marble with a circular pierced opening cut through one side, ringed in brushed brass. A slim brass stem rises from the top of the stone block to support a tailored rectangular PVC shade in white, with a single E27 lamp fitting (bulb sold separately) housed inside the shade.

Suited to console tables, sideboards, hallway tables and bedside positions, the Corvella functions as both a working light source and a small sculptural object on the surface it sits on. The 400mm length and 200mm depth of the marble base give the lamp a grounded footprint without dominating a typical 1.2m console, and the rectangular shade casts diffused light downward and outward across the surrounding surface.

Each marble block shows different grey veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Corvella lamps share the same pattern. The combination of natural marble, brushed brass detailing and the crisp white shade keeps the material palette restrained, while the circular cut-out ringed in brass gives the base a defined architectural detail rather than a plain rectangular profile. The compact 550mm height suits rooms where a larger table lamp would feel oversized.

What bulb does the Corvella take?

The lamp takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A 6-10W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K typically pairs well with the white PVC shade for ambient bedside or console lighting.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The lamp itself does not include a dimmer, but it can be paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb on a compatible dimmer switch or in-line cord dimmer. Check both the bulb and dimmer specification before pairing.

Does the marble vary between pieces?

Yes. Each block is cut from natural marble, so the grey veining, tonal variation and pattern differ between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or acidic cleaners, which can etch the marble surface.
