Our Umber shade brings a warm, earthy depth to a room, and paired with brass it settles into a space with a gentle glow rather than a hard shine. The colour reads as a soft, smoky brown that suits both quiet corners and busier spots, and we like how it works against pale walls, wood tones and darker paint alike. Two curved planes wrap into a cone here, one in umber and one in brass, meeting along an open spiral edge that lets a little light escape at the seam. It is a shape that gives you both a directed pool of light below and a warmer wash around it, which we find works well over a kitchen island, a reading chair or a hallway table.

We have kept this pendant lampshade compact, measuring 23.8cm in height, 13.4cm in width and 12.4cm in depth, so it hangs neatly without crowding a smaller room. At just 0.24kg it is light to fit and easy to live with, and the aluminium construction keeps it sturdy while staying slim in profile.
