Description

The Corinto is a sculptural LED wall light with two flowing chrome arms that curve outward from a circular backplate, each arm housing an integrated LED strip. The combined 12W LED output delivers 960lm of warm white 3000K light across a 120° beam angle, creating ambient wash lighting rather than directed task light. Designed by Spanish designer Jose Ignacio Ballester, the fitting measures 555mm tall and projects 130mm from the wall.

Suited to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and hotel corridors where decorative accent lighting is needed, the Corinto works best on walls with clear vertical space above and below the fitting to show the full sweep of the curved arms. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light during the day and adds a metallic accent to both warm-toned and cool contemporary interiors. The circular backplate is 130mm in diameter and conceals the mounting plate and cable entry point.

The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated for 3000K colour temperature, producing a warm white light similar to halogen rather than the cooler tones of daylight LEDs. At 960lm total output the Corinto provides ambient room lighting rather than reading-level brightness, making it a decorative supplement to ceiling lights rather than a primary source. The lightweight 0.68kg construction allows installation on plasterboard walls with standard fixings.

Is the Corinto dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at fixed 960lm output when switched on.

What wall clearance is needed above and below the fitting?

The fitting stands 555mm tall with the curved arms extending vertically from the central backplate. Allow at least 200mm of clear wall space above and below the backplate centre point to show the full profile of the arms without obstruction from ceiling lines or skirting boards.

Can it be installed on a plasterboard wall?

Yes. At 0.68kg the Corinto is light enough to be mounted on plasterboard using standard cavity fixings rated for 2kg or above. The circular backplate is 130mm in diameter and will cover the mounting area.

What brightness level does 960lm provide?

960lm is roughly equivalent to a 60-75W incandescent bulb. This provides ambient background lighting in a 12-16m² room but is not bright enough for task lighting such as reading or close work without additional light sources.
