The Coin is a 650mm diameter flush ceiling light with an integrated 100W LED array behind an opal acrylic diffuser, encircled by a gold-finished metal frame. The tuneable white LED can be adjusted via remote control from warm 2700K to cool daylight 5000K, delivering up to 6000 lumens across a 120° beam angle. The 70mm height projects minimally from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights.

Designed for rooms requiring high general illumination — living rooms, bedrooms, open-plan kitchen-diners — the Coin provides both ambient and functional light in a single fitting. The colour temperature adjustment allows the light to shift from warm white for evening relaxation to cooler daylight tones for daytime tasks. The remote control also dims the output, giving flexibility to match the light level to the time of day or activity without needing to install separate dimmer switches.

The gold frame is a warm metallic finish with a low-sheen surface that softens reflections and pairs well with warm-toned interiors, brass fixtures and neutral wall colours. At 2.8kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor rather than a standard plastic plug. The flush-mount design means the fitting sits directly against the ceiling with no drop, leaving headroom unaffected and simplifying installation in rooms where a pendant would hang too low.

How is the colour temperature adjusted?

The Coin includes a remote control that switches the LED between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool daylight, with intermediate settings in between. The remote also dims the output from full brightness down to a low ambient level.

What size room does the 650mm diameter suit?

At 6000 lumens the Coin provides sufficient general illumination for rooms up to approximately 20-25 square metres. For larger open-plan spaces, two or more fittings spaced evenly will give more uniform coverage than a single central fitting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 70mm projection from the ceiling makes the Coin well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.4m where a pendant would hang into the headroom. The flush mount also works in rooms with sloped or vaulted ceilings where a drop fitting would be impractical.

What fixing is required for the 2.8kg weight?

The fitting should be fixed directly to a ceiling joist or into a reinforced plasterboard anchor rated for at least 5kg. Standard plastic plugs are not sufficient. If the ceiling rose position does not align with a joist, a spreading batten can be fitted between two joists to provide a secure anchor point.
