A wide, flattened teardrop shapes our Clava Dine pendant lampshade, its gently curved metal drawing in towards a perforated band that wraps right round the middle. It is not a smooth globe but something softer at the edges and more grounded, a form that sits calmly overhead without pulling all the attention to itself. We chose the Umber finish for its warm, earthy depth, a colour that settles easily against wood, linen and plaster tones. At 43cm across and 28cm tall, it reads as generous without feeling heavy, and the light it casts is worth thinking about too, because that central band of tiny openings lets a scatter of brightness escape sideways while the main glow falls downward.
