Our Clava Dine range arrives in a single, considered specification, so there is no sizing puzzle to solve and no finish to weigh up. Its shape keeps the choice simple and lets you focus on where it will hang. The shape is a wide, flattened metal teardrop, gently domed rather than round, and a perforated band runs the whole way around its middle. It measures 43cm across and 28cm tall, so it reads as a broad, low profile rather than a tall globe.

The Slate colour is a soft, muted grey that settles into a room without shouting for attention. We like it above a dining table, where the perforated band lets small points of light escape sideways while the main glow falls downward onto the surface below. Made from aluminium, it weighs only 0.88kg, which makes it easy to handle when you are fitting it and kind to most ceiling fixings. Assembly is quick too, taking around 5 minutes, so you are not left with a fiddly evening ahead of you.
