Description

The Claron is a 500mm diameter flush ceiling light from Ideal Lux, built around a matt black metal disc with a recessed central diffuser. An integrated LED inside casts 3000K warm-white light through an opal acrylic panel set within the black metal ring, providing ambient light across approximately 12-16m² of floor space depending on ceiling height and room use.

Designed specifically for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m-2.6m where a drop pendant would hang too low, the Claron sits flush against the ceiling with minimal projection. The 500mm diameter makes it suitable for bedrooms, hallways, home offices and medium-sized living rooms where the ceiling height limits pendant options. The IP20 rating confirms it for dry indoor use only — bathrooms and outdoor locations require a higher IP rating.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping attention on the lit central panel rather than the fixture itself. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer, allowing output to be reduced for evening use or raised for task lighting.
