Description

The Knightsbridge BT9CHR is a chrome-finish polycarbonate bezel designed to clip onto any BT9-series 9W LED bulkhead base unit. The 256mm diameter bezel adds a polished chrome ring to the outer edge of the fitting, replacing the standard white or black bezel supplied with the bulkhead.

This bezel suits applications where the bulkhead finish needs to match chrome door furniture, light switches or other metallic trim in commercial lobbies, hotel corridors, residential hallways and external entrances. The bezel clips onto the bulkhead base without tools, allowing existing BT9 fittings to be updated without rewiring or removing the mounting plate. The 45mm projection from the wall remains the same as the standard bezel.

The polycarbonate construction gives impact resistance equivalent to the base unit itself, while the chrome finish is applied as a metallic coating over the polycarbonate substrate. The bezel is compatible with all BT9 variants including CCT-adjustable models, emergency versions with battery backup, and sensor-equipped units. The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the bezel finish and clip mechanism.

Which BT9 bulkheads is this bezel compatible with?

The chrome bezel fits all Knightsbridge BT9-series 9W LED bulkheads, including the standard CCT-adjustable model, black and chrome variants, emergency versions with battery backup, sensor-equipped models, and the IK08-rated impact-resistant version. The bezel clips onto the base unit regardless of which BT9 variant is installed.

Can the bezel be fitted to an existing BT9 bulkhead?

Yes. The bezel clips onto the base unit without tools, so existing BT9 installations can be updated by removing the original bezel and clipping the chrome bezel into place. The bulkhead does not need to be removed from the wall or rewired.

Is the chrome finish suitable for outdoor use?

The chrome coating is applied to polycarbonate rather than metal, which gives it better resistance to outdoor weathering than chrome-plated steel. However, the finish may dull over time in coastal or industrial environments with high salt or chemical exposure. The bezel itself retains its structural integrity and impact resistance regardless of finish weathering.
