Description

The Chartdale is a large single light pendant hand woven from black rattan on matt black metalwork. The rattan is stained black and worked into a wide, open weave that measures 350mm across, so the light passes through the gaps to give a soft, airy glow. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside, and the fitting is very light at around 1.1kg.

This pendant suits open plan living, a dining space or a relaxed sitting room where you want natural texture overhead. The woven rattan casts gentle patterns as the light comes through, and the black finish keeps it looking modern rather than rustic. A single lamp keeps things simple, and the fitting is dimmable, so you can run it bright or bring it low for the evening. Its light, airy shape means it adds character without weighing a room down.

The black fabric cable adjusts the drop between 700 and 1800mm at installation, so it can hang high or low to suit the room. It is a Class 1 earthed fitting, so it needs an earth connection and is best fitted by a qualified electrician, while its IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. It takes one E27 lamp of up to 10W. Dust the woven rattan gently with a soft brush or dry cloth and keep it dry, switching off at the wall first.
