Description

The Chance is a 327mm flush ceiling light with a white glass dome held in a polished chrome cage frame, rated IP44 for bathroom use. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the dome, with the white glass diffusing the light output evenly across the ceiling plane and down into the room. The fitting projects 136mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for bathrooms, hallways and utility rooms with standard or low ceiling heights.

Designed for installation in bathrooms and other moisture-prone areas, the IP44 rating protects the fitting against water splashes from any direction, allowing it to be fitted in zones 2 and 3 of a bathroom (outside the immediate shower enclosure). The polished chrome frame provides a reflective accent that works with chrome taps, towel rails and mirror frames in contemporary bathroom schemes.

The cage structure gives the Chance a semi-industrial character softened by the white glass dome — a hybrid aesthetic that pairs equally well with metro tiles and bare concrete as it does with painted plaster and neutral bathroom suites. The 327mm diameter covers a standard ceiling rose and provides sufficient light spread for bathrooms up to approximately 4-5 square metres when paired with two 6-10W warm-white LED E27 bulbs.

Can the Chance be installed in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects the fitting against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3. Do not install directly above a bath or within a shower enclosure (zone 1 or 0).

What bulbs does it take?

The Chance takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with two warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom lighting.
