Description
The Cello is a 9-light chandelier built on a two-tier frame of scrolled antique bronze arms, each arm terminating in an upward-facing vintage faux alabaster glass shade. The upper tier holds three lights, the lower tier six, arranged in a symmetrical radial pattern around a central column that runs from the canopy to the bottom finial. Each arm curves outward and upward in a classical scroll, with the antique bronze finish showing darker tones in the recessed details and lighter highlights on the raised edges.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Cello provides general illumination across a 908mm diameter footprint. The chandelier accepts nine E27 bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs for ambient light or decorative filament bulbs to complement the vintage glass shades. The drop is adjustable on installation between 946mm and 3994mm via the 3048mm chain, allowing the fitting to be set at the appropriate height for the room.
The vintage faux alabaster shades diffuse light upward and outward, softening the output and reducing glare when the chandelier is viewed from below. The antique bronze finish pairs with warm-toned interiors, traditional furniture and both oak and walnut wood tones. The scrollwork detailing on the arms and the turned column segments give the fitting a more ornamented presence than plain-armed chandeliers, making it suitable for period properties, country house interiors and dining rooms where the chandelier is intended as a centrepiece rather than purely functional lighting.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Cello take?
The chandelier takes nine E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the vintage alabaster shades.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 946mm means the chandelier needs a ceiling height of at least 2.7m to avoid the fitting hanging too low in the room. The chain is adjustable up to 3994mm total drop, accommodating higher ceilings in entrance halls and double-height spaces.
Is the chandelier dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LEDs or traditional incandescent bulbs require a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit.
How is the drop adjusted?
The chain is adjusted during installation by removing links before the chandelier is hung. Once installed, the drop cannot be changed without re-hanging the fitting.
