Description

The Carlwood is a cordless table lamp that runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so you can set it down anywhere without needing to sit near a plug socket. A three-stage touch dimmer steps the light through low, medium and bright settings at 40, 80 and 155 lumens, which makes it as useful for a soft bedside glow as it is for reading in a chair. The base stands 400mm tall on a 160mm footprint and weighs just 0.5kg, finished in brushed aged brass with clear acrylic detailing. Its 1.5W integrated LED gives a warm white 2700K light.

Because there is no trailing flex, it moves easily from a bedside table to a windowsill, a shelf or a dining table, and it works just as well set out for an evening on a sheltered surface. A full charge takes around 5.5 hours and gives up to 36 hours of continuous light, so it comfortably covers several evenings between top-ups. It suits bedrooms, small flats, rented rooms and anywhere a permanent lamp point would be awkward, and the classic shape sits happily in both traditional and more relaxed modern rooms.

The brass-plated metalwork is topped with a 16cm Ivy shade in vintage white cotton-mix fabric, with a contrasting almond white taped edge and a tapered profile that softens the light.
