Description

This over-mirror bathroom wall light is a long, slim bar that spans 598mm across, made to sit neatly above a mirror or vanity unit and wash the area below with bright, even light. It has a white ribbed diffuser set against a chrome-effect body, and an integrated 15W LED module that saves you buying and changing bulbs. The fitting is shallow at 52mm high and projects only 70mm, so it keeps close to the wall above a basin. A rocker switch is supplied for straightforward on and off control in the bathroom.

The Carlshaw large bathroom wall light suits modern bathrooms and en suites where you want clear, functional light for shaving, cleaning teeth or applying make-up. Fitted above a mirror, the wide bar spreads light across your face without the shadows a single downlight can cast. It carries an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water and can be positioned in the appropriate bathroom zones, and as a Class 2 fitting it is double insulated, so it does not need an earth connection. The larger size makes it a good partner for a wide mirror or a double vanity.

Because the LED is integrated, there is very little upkeep beyond an occasional wipe of the diffuser and body with a soft, dry cloth to clear splashes and toothpaste marks; avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. The module is designed to last for many years of normal use. Its clean, modern lines make it an easy match for chrome taps and fittings, and a smaller version is available in the same range if you want the same look above a narrower mirror or in a compact cloakroom.
