Description

This is a cantilevered wall light with a clean, architectural shape, built from a matt nickel plated stem set on a matt black base. A black cotton shade with a matching liner hangs from the arm, giving a crisp, modern silhouette with a balanced, considered feel. The design is inspired by structural, architectural forms, which shows in the way the base, stem and shade line up. Standing 332mm tall and projecting 345mm from the wall, the fitting takes a single E14 small screw bulb up to 7W and is fully dimmable, so you can set the light to suit the moment.

The Carlfield suits modern and contemporary rooms that lean towards clean lines and darker tones. Its reach makes it a practical bedside or reading light, throwing light out over a chair or a bed without a bulky fitting, and the black shade keeps the glow focused and warm. It works well in a living room, a study or a hallway, and looks especially good as a pair for symmetry. For a co-ordinated scheme, we also stock matching table and floor lamps in the same range.

The build combines a matt nickel plated stem with a black finished base, and the shade is black cotton fabric with a matching inner liner. It is double insulated to Class 2, so no earth connection is needed at installation, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. The fitting is dimmable, giving you an easy range from bright to low. To care for it, switch off and let the bulb cool, then wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth and lift dust from the shade with a soft brush.
