Description

The Carlfield is a cantilevered table lamp inspired by architectural forms, with a black cotton shade held out to one side on an arm of matt brass-plated metalwork. It stands 520mm tall and 430mm wide with a depth of 230mm, weighing 2kg, and a matt black base grounds the design and balances the reach of the arm. An inline on/off switch on the 1.5 metre black fabric flex keeps control to hand. It takes one E14 bulb up to 7W and suits E14 LED lamps.

The offset, cantilevered shape makes it useful as well as good-looking, letting you position the light over a book, a desk or a bedside without the base getting in the way. Its contemporary, refined look suits modern living rooms, studies and bedrooms, and the black-and-brass palette pairs easily with wood, marble and darker furniture. The wide, 430mm reach and the weighted base give it a balanced, architectural symmetry that stands up on its own.
