Description

The Camillo is a 152mm diameter outdoor pendant light built around a cylindrical black metal frame with vertical louvres and a clear seeded glass diffuser. The lamp holds a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind the glass, which sits inside the metal cage. The IP44 rating protects the fitting from rain and moisture ingress, making it suitable for covered outdoor positions where direct water exposure is avoided.

Designed for porch ceilings, covered entryways, outdoor dining areas under pergolas, and eave-protected pathways, the Camillo provides downward task lighting combined with decorative texture from the seeded glass. The 375mm fitting height and adjustable drop from 495mm to 1408mm allows the pendant to be set low over a table or raised higher for clearance under a low porch ceiling. The vertical louvres shield the bulb from side glare while allowing light to pass through gaps and the glass cylinder below.

The black powder-coated metal frame resists corrosion and holds its finish under outdoor conditions when installed under cover as specified by the IP44 rating. The seeded glass has a textured surface that scatters light into softer patterns than clear glass, reducing harsh shadows and creating ambient glow around the immediate area. IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashing from any direction. This makes it suitable for covered outdoor positions such as porch ceilings, pergolas and eaves where the fitting is sheltered from direct rain but exposed to ambient moisture. It is not rated for fully exposed positions with direct rain or water jets.

What bulb should I use?

The Camillo takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. For outdoor covered areas most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, which provides adequate downward light for entryways and seating areas. Decorative filament LED bulbs also work well where the bulb is visible through the seeded glass.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable during installation by shortening the rod and cable to the desired length between 495mm and 1408mm. Once installed the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted. The specification indicates height is adjustable on installation, not after.

How is the seeded glass cleaned?

The seeded glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads which may scratch the textured surface. For tougher marks from outdoor exposure, a mild soap solution followed by rinsing and drying is acceptable.
