The Calvero is a 640mm table lamp built around a faceted black marble base cut into a tapered diamond profile, set on a circular brushed brass plinth. A slim brass stem rises from the apex of the marble to support a 350mm white PVC drum shade, and a single E27 lamp socket sits inside the upper fitting. The black stone shows fine white veining across its angled planes.

Sized for sideboards, console tables, hallway tables and larger bedside cabinets, the Calvero suits surfaces with a depth of 350mm or more so the drum shade clears the front edge cleanly. The E27 socket accepts standard screw-fit LED, halogen or filament bulbs (sold separately), making it straightforward to set the brightness and colour temperature to match the room. A switch on the cable controls the lamp.

The faceted geometry of the base distinguishes the Calvero from smooth turned or cylindrical marble lamps — each angled plane catches light differently, so the base reads as darker or lighter depending on the viewing angle and ambient lighting. The brushed brass plinth, stem and finial maintain a single warm metallic tone across the fitting, while the cool white drum shade above provides a calm visual counterpoint to the sharp lines of the marble below.

What bulb does the Calvero take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most buyers fit a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to match the warm tone of the brass and balance the cool white drum shade.

Is the lamp dimmable?

The fitting itself is a standard E27 socket with an inline cable switch, so dimming depends on the bulb you choose. Pair it with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible plug-in or wall dimmer if dimming is required.

What size surface does it suit?

At 640mm tall with a 350mm shade diameter, the Calvero is best placed on a console, sideboard or hallway table at least 350mm deep. It is generally too tall for low bedside tables but works well on taller bedside cabinets where the shade sits above pillow height.

Does the marble veining vary between lamps?

Yes. The white veining within the black marble base is a natural feature of the stone, so the pattern, density and direction of the veins differ slightly between individual lamps. This is characteristic of the material rather than a defect.
