Caldrin 1 Light Marble Table Lamp - Brass & White

The Caldrin is a 670mm-tall table lamp built around a stepped white marble column on a brushed brass plinth, topped with a 400mm white PVC drum shade. The marble is cut into a tiered rectangular form with three offset planes that catch light differently across the surface, and the natural veining shows soft caramel and grey tones against the predominantly white stone. A single E27 lamp socket sits inside the shade.

Sized for console tables, sideboards, dressing tables and larger bedside tables, the Caldrin works as ambient or low-level reading light depending on the bulb chosen. The 400mm shade diameter gives a generous spread of soft, downward-and-outward light through the white PVC, while the brushed brass stem and finial add warm metallic punctuation between the stone base and the shade. A discreet brass foot lifts the marble clear of the table surface.

The stepped marble construction is the defining detail: rather than a single block, the column is composed of three offset rectangular sections that create shadow lines down the length of the lamp and reveal more of the stone's veining at each edge. Each marble piece is naturally variable, so the pattern of veining differs between individual lamps. The brushed brass finish on the stem, finial and base plinth pairs cleanly with both warm-toned and cooler interiors.

What bulb does the Caldrin take?

The lamp accepts a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for soft ambient light, though any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb can be fitted within the maximum wattage stated on the lampholder.

Does the marble veining vary between lamps?

Yes. The stepped column is cut from natural marble, so the veining pattern, tonal variation and intensity of the caramel and grey markings differ from one piece to the next. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

Where does the Caldrin work best?

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone, and do not use household sprays, polishes or acidic cleaners, which can etch the surface.
