Description

The Caldfield is a modern table lamp finished in satin black from base to shade, giving a clean, all-over look. It stands 500mm tall and 290mm wide with a depth of 230mm, weighing 1.9kg, and it carries a 23cm black fabric cylinder shade over satin black painted metalwork. An inline on/off switch on the 1.5 metre black fabric cable keeps control within easy reach. It takes one E14 bulb up to 7W and is suited to E14 LED lamps.

The understated, monochrome design makes it an easy fit for contemporary living rooms, home offices and bedrooms, working on a side table, a desk or a console. Because the whole lamp is one colour, it reads as quiet and considered rather than showy, and it pairs well with modern furniture in wood, metal or neutral upholstery. At 290mm wide the base gives it a stable, planted stance, and the straight lines keep it looking crisp rather than fussy. The cylinder shade gives a straight, even spread of light, useful for both ambient lighting and closer tasks such as reading.
