Description

Our Butterflies Dual Coat Hook is not a single peg or a plain rail, but a small pair of open wooden wings meeting at a block on the wall, opening into a shallow V that catches coats, scarves and bags from two angles. We chose this Mini size for spots where space is tight, a hallway nook or the back of a bedroom door, where a bigger fitting would feel too much. The Saffron Yellow finish gives it a warm, cheerful lift, a small spot of colour on a wall that might otherwise go unnoticed.

It is built from MDF with a steel fixing, so the two wings hold their shape and take the weight of everyday use. The Mini measures 8.5cm high, 17cm wide and just 3.3cm deep, which keeps it close to the wall and out of the way in a narrow passage. That slim depth is one of the reasons we like it near a doorway, where anything that projects too far tends to get knocked. Assembly takes around 10 minutes, and we include a short video to walk you through it if you would rather follow along than read the sheet.

Saffron Yellow is the shade we settled on for this one, and it sits well against pale plaster, exposed brick or a darker painted wall where it stands out a little more. We think a couple of these look good grouped together at different heights for a family of hooks, or you can keep a single Mini on its own for a tidier look. It works above a console in the entrance, beside a table lamp on a landing shelf, or in a child's room where the bright colour earns its place. However you use it, we hope it makes hanging things up feel a touch less ordinary.
