Description

The way our morning light catches these two open wooden wings makes them worth a second glance every time we pass. The Butterflies Dual Coat Hook Mini in Forest Green settles against a wall as a small V, two arms rising from a compact block where they meet. It reads as a pair of open shapes rather than a single peg or a straight rail, which means it holds more than you might expect from something so neat. The forest green sits softly on the grain, a muted natural tone that we find works as easily beside pale plaster as it does against deeper painted walls.

At 17cm wide, 8.5cm high and just 3.3cm deep, the Mini keeps close to the wall and asks very little of the space around it. It is made from MDF with a steel fixing behind, so each wing has enough strength to take a heavy winter coat, a canvas bag or a bundle of scarves without complaint. The two arms give you two points to hang from, which we think suits a narrow hallway, the back of a bedroom door or a spot beside the front entrance where a lead and a jacket need somewhere to live. Assembly takes around ten minutes, and we include a short video to walk you through it.

If you want a little more reach, we also offer the Medium at 22.6cm wide, though this page is for the Mini alone. We like pairing a few of these along a single wall at staggered heights, letting the green repeat down a corridor. However you place it, we hope it earns its keep quietly, holding what you hand it and looking good while it does. It is an indoor fitting, happiest somewhere warm and dry inside the home.
