Our Butterflies Dual Coat Hook pairs MDF in a smooth painted finish with steel fixings, given a cheerful Saffron Yellow colour that brings a little warmth to a hallway or bedroom wall. The form is simple and playful: two open wooden wings meet at a small block, forming a V that reads like a butterfly resting mid-flight. It is useful before it is decorative, so those two wings each give you somewhere to hang a coat, a scarf, a tote or a dog lead, while the yellow keeps things bright rather than plain. It is a single fixed shape.

This is the Medium size, measuring 22.6cm wide, 11.3cm tall and 12.2cm deep, which gives the wings enough spread to hold a heavier winter coat without crowding the wall. The smaller Mini in the range comes in at 17cm wide for tighter spots, but here we are talking about the Medium. Made from MDF and steel, it feels solid in the hand and holds its shape well over daily use.
