Bronx Bollard Light 796mm - Grey

The Bronx is a 796mm bollard light built from grey powder-coated aluminium with a clear plastic diffuser at the head and an anti-reflective internal grille. The E27 bulb fitting sits inside a vertical cylindrical cage structure that directs light downward and outward while the grille blocks direct sightlines to the bulb itself, reducing glare for anyone walking past. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for garden paths, driveways, commercial walkways and residential property perimeters, the 796mm height positions the light head above typical knee-height planting and gives a throw radius of approximately 2-3 metres depending on the bulb wattage used. The bollard accepts any standard E27 LED or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately), allowing control over light output and colour temperature to suit the site. The base flange mounts to a concrete foundation or paved surface and requires mains voltage wiring run underground to the bollard position.

The aluminium body resists corrosion in coastal and exposed environments, and the grey finish sits neutrally against concrete, stone paving, rendered walls and darker planting schemes. The cylindrical cage at the head is constructed from welded aluminium strips that form horizontal rings, giving the bollard an industrial aesthetic without exposed fixings or visible screws on the exterior. The plastic diffuser inside the cage is temperature-resistant and replaceable if damaged.

What bulb does it take?

The Bronx takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a warm-white LED between 8-12W for pathways or a higher-output 15-20W LED for driveway lighting.

Is it suitable for coastal locations?

The aluminium construction and IP54 rating provide resistance to salt spray and wind-driven rain. The powder-coated finish protects against corrosion, though periodic rinsing with fresh water helps extend the finish life in direct coastal exposure.

How is it installed?

The bollard mounts via a base flange that bolts to a concrete foundation or paved surface. Mains voltage wiring (AC 220-240V) must be run underground to the bollard position and connected inside the base housing. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

What spacing is recommended between bollards?

For pathway lighting with 10-12W LED bulbs, spacing bollards 3-4 metres apart provides continuous ground coverage without dark patches. For driveway edges or perimeter lighting with higher-output bulbs, 4-5 metre spacing is typical.
