Description

The Brockmont is a four-light pendant with a cylindrical shade built from thick handmade glass panels, each showing an organic, rippled texture. The glass gives a soft, characterful glow and a real sense of the material, while decorative fixings and a warm metallic frame add a handmade touch. The shade is 400mm across and the pendant takes four E14 lamps. It hangs from a height-adjustable chain finished with a grey braided fabric flex.

This mid-size pendant suits dining rooms, hallways and living areas, where the textured glass cylinder can be seen and its handmade quality appreciated. The panels spread a soft, ambient glow rather than a hard beam, so it works well over a table or in the middle of a room. The mix of thick artisan glass and warm metal gives it a grounded, characterful look that suits relaxed, considered interiors. Hung over a kitchen table or in a hallway, the thick glass reads as characterful rather than fragile.

The frame is brushed aged brass plate and the glass panels are thick and handmade, so slight variation between them is part of the design. The grey braided cable finishes the drop, which adjusts from 500mm to 1600mm on a 1.2 metre chain. It is a Class 1 fitting, so it needs an earth and is best fitted by a qualified electrician, and the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. It is dimmable with a compatible trailing edge dimmer and dimmable E14 filament lamps. Wipe the glass and brass with a dry, soft cloth. A larger six-light size is available in the Brockmont range.
