Description

The Brillia is a left-hand L-connector for 3-phase track lighting systems, forming a 90-degree corner within a continuous track run. Finished in matt black plastic, the connector measures 120mm along each arm with a 35mm height profile, matching standard Ideal Lux 3-phase track dimensions. The internal contacts maintain electrical continuity across all three phases, allowing dimmable track heads to operate through the corner without interruption.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential installations where track lighting needs to turn corners rather than run in straight lines, the left-hand orientation determines which direction the track enters and exits the connector when viewed from the ceiling. The 120mm x 120mm footprint keeps the corner tight to the ceiling plane without projecting downwards beyond the track itself, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

The black finish integrates with matt black track systems and recedes against dark ceilings, while the plastic construction keeps the connector lightweight compared to die-cast metal alternatives. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only — bathrooms, wet rooms and outdoor canopies require higher IP-rated track systems. The 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not extend to damage from incorrect installation or overloading beyond the track system's rated capacity.

What's the difference between left and right L-connectors?

The orientation determines which direction the track enters and exits when looking up at the ceiling. A left-hand connector has the incoming track on the left and outgoing on the right when viewed from below. Check your track layout before ordering to ensure you select the correct orientation.

Is this compatible with all 3-phase track systems?

The Brillia connector is designed for Ideal Lux 3-phase track systems. Compatibility with other brands depends on matching dimensions and contact configuration. Mixing brands within the same track run is not recommended unless confirmed compatible by both manufacturers.

Can it support dimmable track heads?

Yes. The connector maintains electrical continuity across all three phases, so dimmable track heads wired through the connector will dim in sync with the rest of the track circuit when controlled by a compatible 3-phase dimmer.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. For bathrooms or outdoor covered areas, you need a higher IP-rated track system with weatherproof connectors.
