Description
The Brillara is a small table lamp built from a cylindrical grey cement base topped with a white opal glass sphere. The lamp takes a single G9 bulb (sold separately) housed inside the sphere, which diffuses the light evenly in all directions. The cement base shows the natural aggregate texture of the material, with small stones and air pockets visible in the surface, giving each lamp subtle variation in appearance.
Designed for bedside tables, desks and narrow shelving where space is limited, the 100mm diameter footprint fits comfortably on surfaces as small as 250mm wide without overhang. The 1100mm cable allows the lamp to be positioned away from wall sockets and routed behind furniture. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — bedrooms, living rooms, home offices — away from direct water contact.
The grey cement base anchors the lamp with enough weight to resist being knocked over by passing arms or pets, while the opal sphere softens the industrial character of the raw concrete. The cement is unsealed, showing the natural finish as it comes from the mould, with no polish or coating. The lamp pairs well with mid-century, industrial and minimalist interiors that favour exposed materials and geometric forms.
From Ideal Lux, an Italian manufacturer known for contemporary lighting in natural materials and metal finishes. The lamp carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and construction.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Brillara take?
The lamp takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a G9 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) between 2W and 5W for ambient bedside or desk lighting. Halogen G9 bulbs can also be used but generate more heat inside the glass sphere.
Is the cement sealed or treated?
No. The cement base is left unsealed, showing the raw material finish with visible aggregate stones and air pockets. This means the surface may absorb minor spills if liquid contacts it, so avoid placing the lamp where drinks might be knocked over.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating restricts the Brillara to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor use.
How heavy is the lamp?
The cement base gives the lamp enough weight to resist being easily knocked over, typically around 600-800g depending on the density of the cement pour. The exact weight is not specified by the manufacturer.
