Description

The Bracken is a floor lamp inspired by nature, built around an open cage of natural bamboo that lets the light spill out through the framework. The bamboo is sustainably sourced and left in its natural tone, set on a matt black tripod base with painted detailing that keeps the look modern. It stands 1280mm tall with a wide 450mm frame, so it makes a soft, warm feature in a corner without blocking light or sight lines.

It works well in a living room, bedroom or reading corner styled around natural textures and warm neutrals, sitting happily beside rattan, jute and pale timber. Because the cage is open rather than solid, the bulb stays partly on show and throws gentle shadows across nearby walls, which adds to the relaxed mood. The tripod base is steady on both rugs and hard floors, and at just 2kg the lamp is easy to lift and move when you rearrange the room.

The framework is natural bamboo and the base is matt black painted, and as a natural product the cane will show slight variation in colour and grain. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 10W in LED, and a warm filament lamp suits the open design and casts the nicest pattern. An inline foot switch on the 3 metre black fabric flex keeps control at floor level with plenty of reach to a socket. Dust the cage with a soft brush and wipe the base with a dry cloth.
