Description

The Boreal is a 620mm ceiling fan light with retractable blades concealed behind a silver diffuser ring. An integrated LED module delivers 4200 lumens and can be tuned from warm 2700K to cool 5000K daylight via the included remote control. The DC motor drives the fan blades, which deploy from behind the diffuser when the fan is activated and retract flush when switched off.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices where both cooling and ambient light are needed, the Boreal suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above and rooms between 12-18m². The remote control adjusts both light output (dimmable from 10% to full brightness) and fan speed across multiple settings, removing the need for wall switches or pull cords. The 208mm overall height includes the ceiling mount and diffuser depth, fitting standard UK ceiling roses.

The silver powder-coated finish on the diffuser and motor housing provides a neutral metallic tone that pairs with stainless steel, brushed chrome and cool-toned contemporary interiors. The spirograph-patterned diffuser is molded acrylic with radiating geometric lines that diffuse the LED light evenly across the ceiling and down into the room without creating a bright central hotspot. The DC motor runs quieter than traditional AC fan motors and draws 105W total when both light and fan operate simultaneously.

The retractable blade mechanism means the Boreal presents as a ceiling light when stationary, with the fan blades hidden from view. When the fan is activated, four blades extend outward from slots in the diffuser rim and begin rotating. This dual-mode design suits rooms where a traditional fan aesthetic is undesirable but airflow is occasionally needed during warmer months.

When the fan is off, the blades sit folded behind the diffuser ring and are not visible. When you activate the fan via the remote control, the blades extend outward from slots in the diffuser rim and begin rotating. Switching the fan off retracts the blades back into the housing.
