Description

The Bola is a 30cm spherical pendant light built around a woven acrylic shell suspended from a polished chrome canopy on an adjustable cable. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the sphere, casting light through the interwoven acrylic strands to create a diffused glow with texture visible from every angle.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the 30cm diameter provides sufficient presence above a 4-seater dining table or as part of a multi-pendant arrangement above a longer island worktop. The drop adjusts between 400mm and 1500mm during installation, allowing the pendant to be set at 700-800mm above a table surface or higher for ambient lighting in double-height spaces. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable conceals the wiring.

The woven acrylic construction weighs 1.22kg, giving the pendant a light physical presence that works in rooms with modest ceiling loading. The polished chrome finish on the canopy reflects surrounding light and pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The 400-1500mm adjustable drop suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling rooms. Higher ceilings can use the full 1500mm drop for ambient lighting.

How is the acrylic sphere cleaned?

Wipe the woven acrylic with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the acrylic or using chemical sprays that may damage the material or alter its finish.
