Description

The Blaze is a 350mm diameter pendant light with a matt black pressed-metal shade in a wide warehouse style, finished with a matching matt black ceiling rose and 2m fabric-covered cable. The single E27 lampholder sits inside the shade, directing light downward through the open base while the wide brim reflects some light back onto the ceiling, providing both task and ambient light in the same fitting.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, bar areas and open-plan living zones, the Blaze works well as a single fitting over a breakfast bar or in clusters of two or three spaced 600-800mm apart over a kitchen island or long dining table. The 2m cable gives flexibility in ceiling height and drop distance, with the cable typically trimmed during installation to suit the room. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.

The pressed-metal construction gives the shade a substantial feel without excessive weight, and the matt black finish provides a low-sheen surface that works across modern, industrial and mid-century interiors. The wide 350mm diameter and shallow 225mm shade height create a broad pool of downlight without the pendant dominating sightlines in low-ceilinged rooms. The IP20 rating confirms indoor use only.

Is the Blaze dimmable?

Yes. The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. To achieve dimming you need both a compatible dimmer switch installed on the circuit and a dimmable E27 bulb. Using a non-dimmable LED bulb with a dimmer switch can cause flickering or early bulb failure.

What bulb does it take?

The Blaze takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for kitchen and dining use.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

The cable is supplied at 2m length. It can be shortened during installation by a qualified electrician to suit the ceiling height and desired drop distance. Once cut, the cable cannot be lengthened again.

Can multiple Blaze pendants be used together?

Yes. The Blaze works well in clusters of two or three over kitchen islands or long dining tables, typically spaced 600-800mm apart. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and circuit connection unless wired through a shared junction box by a qualified electrician.
