Our Big Idea E27 bulb is built around a 3W LED housed within a clear glass envelope, letting the filament sit on full view. At 12.5cm in diameter and 18cm tall, this is a G125 globe shape, and it weighs just 95g. The clear glass means the interior filament arrangement stays visible whether the bulb is lit or resting unlit in a fitting, so we tend to reach for it where the bulb itself is meant to be seen rather than hidden behind a shade.

We have set the colour temperature at 2200K, which gives a warm amber glow that suits a relaxed corner or a spot where you want low, unhurried light. The bulb produces 325 lumen and runs at an efficiency of 108 lumen per watt, so you get that gentle output without a heavy draw on power. With a CRI of 84, colours around the room hold up reasonably well under it. It runs on 220-240V at 50 Hz, and its rated life is 15000 hours, meaning you should get a long stretch of use before a swap is needed.
