Description

The Bern is a 245mm square outdoor wall lantern built around a stainless steel frame with clear glass panels and two horizontal brushed steel bands running across the middle. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for external walls at entrances, porches, patios and courtyard areas, the Bern mounts on a square backplate and projects 120mm from the wall. The clear glass maximises light output in both directions — outward into the space and back onto the wall behind — making it effective as both task lighting for doorways and ambient lighting for garden walls. The IP54 rating suits UK outdoor conditions including rain exposure but not direct water jets or submersion.

The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments, and the brushed finish hides fingerprints and minor surface marks better than a high-polish alternative.
