The Beacon Square is a 299mm high outdoor chain lantern with a bronze-finished composite frame and clear hammered glass panels on all four sides. The lantern houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately, rated up to 60W) behind glass that's textured to diffuse the light while maintaining visibility of the bulb filament or LED source.

Designed for covered porches, pergola beams, and outdoor dining areas, the lantern hangs from a 1000mm chain that's adjustable on installation to set the drop anywhere between 377mm and 1336mm depending on ceiling height and the desired distance above a dining table or pathway. The IP44 rating provides protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for sheltered outdoor locations where it won't be exposed to driving rain or full weather.

The composite material construction resists UV degradation and saltwater spray better than steel or aluminium, so the bronze finish holds its tone in coastal and high-exposure environments. The hammered texture on the glass creates a water-ripple effect when the light is on, breaking up the bulb image and casting softer patterns onto surrounding surfaces. The lantern takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the bronze finish and hammered glass.

Can the chain be shortened?

Yes. The 1000mm chain is adjustable on installation, allowing the lantern to hang anywhere between 377mm and 1336mm from the ceiling. Excess chain links can be removed during fitting to set the final drop height.
