Basis LED Linear Light for Magnetic Track Exility 24W 3000K - White

The Basis is a 604mm linear LED track light designed for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system, delivering 24W of integrated 3000K warm white light through a white powder-coated aluminium housing. The fitting attaches magnetically to the 48V DC low-voltage track, allowing repositioning without rewiring or removing the entire track assembly.

Designed for retail, gallery, residential and hospitality interiors where continuous linear lighting is needed, the Basis provides even wash light across wall displays, kitchen worktops, or open-plan living areas. The 604mm length allows multiple units to be arranged end-to-end on a single track run, creating uninterrupted lines of light up to several metres long. The magnetic attachment means individual units can be slid along the track, removed for maintenance, or swapped for different-length units without tools.

The aluminium housing measures 44mm high and 22mm wide, giving the fitting a low-profile appearance against white or light-coloured ceilings. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that suits residential interiors and hospitality settings, while the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The integrated LED cannot be replaced separately, so the entire fitting is replaced at end of life, typically after several years of continuous use under Maytoni's 5-year warranty.

Does this work with standard UK mains track systems?

No. The Basis is designed specifically for Maytoni's Exility magnetic track system, which runs on 48V DC low voltage. It will not attach to or operate on standard UK 240V mains track lighting systems from other manufacturers.

Can the LED be replaced if it fails?

The integrated LED is not user-replaceable. Under normal use the LED should last several years and is covered by Maytoni's 5-year warranty. If the LED fails within warranty, the entire fitting is replaced.

Can multiple units be joined end-to-end?

Yes. Multiple Basis units can be positioned along the same Exility track run to create continuous lines of light. The magnetic attachment allows units to be slid into position and repositioned without tools.

Is this suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher, and outdoor installations require IP65 or higher. The Basis is intended for living rooms, kitchens, galleries and commercial interiors with controlled indoor conditions.
