Description

The Basis is a 222mm linear LED track light designed for Radity magnetic track systems, delivering 12W of 4000K neutral white light through an aluminium housing finished in matt black. The fitting mounts magnetically to the track and draws 48V DC power through the magnetic contact points, eliminating the need for visible cables or mechanical fixings along the track run.

Designed for task lighting in kitchens, home offices, studios and retail display, the Basis provides focused downlight in a compact 222mm × 26mm × 29mm profile. The magnetic mounting allows the fitting to be repositioned along the track without tools, making it possible to adjust lighting as furniture layouts or workspace needs change. The 4000K colour temperature delivers neutral white light that sits between warm domestic lighting and cooler commercial white, making it suitable for both residential and commercial installations.

The black aluminium body is powder-coated in a matt finish that minimises glare and reflections under daylight. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, restricting it to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and outdoor exposure. The Radity magnetic track system (sold separately) requires a compatible driver to convert mains 230V to the 48V DC supply the fitting needs. Maytoni backs the Basis with a five-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

What track system does the Basis fit?

The Basis is designed specifically for Radity magnetic track systems from Maytoni. It will not fit standard 3-circuit or single-circuit lighting tracks. The Radity track and compatible driver are sold separately.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, outdoor areas or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing.

Is the light dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the Radity track driver specification. Some Radity-compatible drivers support dimming via mains dimmer switches or wireless control, while others provide fixed output. Check the driver specification before purchasing if dimming is required.
