Description

The Balbo is a 38cm semi-flush ceiling light with fifteen smoky glass spheres clustered around four G9 bulb fittings on a polished nickel frame. The fitting sits 22.5cm below the ceiling rose, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.6m where a full pendant would hang too low. Each of the four G9 bulbs (sold separately) lights multiple glass spheres, creating overlapping pools of diffused warm light across the cluster.

Designed for hallways, landings, dining rooms and bedrooms with standard UK ceiling heights, the Balbo provides ambient light without the visual weight of a chandelier or the projection of a traditional flush fitting. The semi-flush design keeps the bulk of the fitting close to the ceiling while the spheres extend downward to break up the silhouette. The polished nickel frame reflects light between the glass spheres, adding brightness without glare.

The smoky glass has a translucent grey tint that softens the light output and creates a tonal contrast against the bright nickel metalwork. Each sphere is approximately 10cm in diameter, hand-blown with slight variation in the smoke density between individual pieces.
