Description
The Auroral is a 2-light crystal wall light built around a spherical cage of faceted crystal beads strung on polished chrome bands, fitted with two G9 bulb holders inside the cage. The 250mm-wide sphere projects 175mm from the wall on a chrome backplate, positioning the crystals 80-100mm out from the wall surface to cast prismatic reflections across adjacent surfaces when lit.
Designed as accent or decorative lighting in hallways, bedroom walls, and either side of mirrors or artwork, the Auroral delivers mid-level illumination rather than strong task light. The crystal beads refract and scatter light from the two G9 bulbs (sold separately), creating patterns of reflected light on nearby walls and ceilings. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a dimmer switch, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output down to low ambient.
Each crystal is individually faceted and hand-strung onto the chrome frame, so light passes through multiple refractive surfaces before reaching the surrounding room. The polished chrome bands hold the crystal cage in a compressed sphere shape, with the backplate concealing the electrical connection behind a 100mm circular mounting disc. The IP20 rating limits the Auroral to dry indoor locations—bedrooms, lounges, hallways—where moisture and splashing are not present.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Auroral takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users fit warm-white G9 LEDs at 2700K-3000K and 3-5W per bulb to balance light output with crystal sparkle. Halogen G9s can also be used up to the rated wattage.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating restricts the Auroral to dry indoor rooms only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any location subject to moisture or splashing.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off at the mains and allow the bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal bead gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or getting moisture into the bulb holders.
