Description

The Aurion Small is a compact alabaster table lamp built around a 150mm sphere of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a solid marble cylinder base with a slim brushed brass collar between the two stone elements. An integrated 5W LED concealed inside the globe casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, turning the sphere itself into the diffuser. Total height is 210mm.

At this scale the Aurion suits bedside tables, console tables, shelves and desks where a full-size table lamp would dominate. The 150mm globe and 210mm overall height fit comfortably alongside books, picture frames and smaller objects without crowding the surface. The integrated LED removes the need to source or replace a bulb, and the soft warm output works well as a low-level evening light or bedtime reading companion.

The alabaster globe shows natural veining, cloud-like banding and tonal shifts across its surface, with denser and more translucent areas visible once the lamp is lit. The marble base is finished to emphasise its weight and density, anchoring the lighter alabaster above and giving the lamp stability on narrow surfaces. The brushed brass collar between globe and base introduces a fine warm-metal line that lifts the all-stone palette without competing with it.

Does the Aurion Small need a bulb?

No. The lamp uses an integrated 5W LED concealed inside the alabaster globe, so there is no bulb to source or replace. The LED runs on 230V mains and is rated at 3000K warm white.

Where does this size suit best?

At 210mm tall with a 150mm globe, the Aurion Small is scaled for bedside tables, console tables, shelves and desks. It works well as a bedroom companion light or as decorative accent lighting on a hallway console, where a larger table lamp would feel oversized.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on either the alabaster globe or the marble base.

Will every lamp look identical?

No. Both the alabaster sphere and the marble base are cut from natural stone, so veining, banding and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect.
