Description

Our Audacious Oak Sideboard is made from solid oak with a polyester and MDF construction, finished with artificial leather detailing that brings real substance to a room. We chose oak for its strength and its warm, open grain, and we finished it in Sterling, a soft grey tone that settles quietly against both pale and darker walls. Measuring 160cm wide, 67.1cm high and 50cm deep, this is a long low piece that gives you generous storage without dominating the floor. It weighs 42.5kg, so it sits with a reassuring solidity once in place.

The rounded body is what gives this sideboard its character. Rather than a flat front, we have used fluted tambour sliding doors that curve gently across the face, catching the light along their vertical ridges and softening the overall shape. The whole piece rests on four round tapered legs, which lift it off the ground and keep the look light despite its length. Inside, each shelf takes a maximum load of 15kg, while the top surface holds up to 50kg when the weight is spread evenly, giving you room for tableware, books, a lamp or a run of trailing plants. Assembly takes around 20 to 25 minutes, so you will not spend your afternoon on it.

We hold this sideboard to the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which reflects the care we take over the materials we work with. To keep the oak looking its best, we suggest wiping it with a soft dry cloth and avoiding harsh cleaners that can dull the finish over time. For styling, the Sterling grey pairs well with warm brass accents and natural linen, and the fluted doors reward a little negative space around them.
