Description

Not a flat-fronted box pushed against the wall, our Audacious Dark Oak TV Bench is something we shaped with more care than that. The body is long and low with a gently rounded profile, and across the front run fluted tambour sliding doors that give the surface a rhythm of soft vertical lines. It stands on four round tapered legs, lifting the whole piece clear of the floor so it reads as light rather than heavy. In the Shadow colour set against Dark Oak, it settles quietly into a room without asking for attention.

It is built to hold what a living room needs. At 140cm wide, 40cm high and 46cm deep, the top gives you room for a screen along with the odd remote, book or table lamp base, and the concealed space behind the tambour doors keeps cables and boxes out of sight. Each internal shelf takes up to 15kg with weight evenly distributed, while the top surface holds up to 120kg when the load is spread across it. The finished piece weighs 18.75kg, and assembly takes around 30 minutes.

Because we sell this bench for daily indoor use, it meets standards worth naming. It meets the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards, and the textiles we draw on carry the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, so the Shadow polyester covering has been tested for harmful substances. The tambour doors slide rather than swing, which helps in tighter rooms where a hinged front would get in the way. It is made for the home only and is not rated for outdoor use.
