Description

Our aim with this tv bench is to keep the floor feeling open while giving your screen a proper home, and it does exactly that. Standing just 40cm high and stretching 140cm wide, it sits low and long beneath a wall-mounted television, so the eye runs level across the room rather than being pulled upward. The rounded body softens the corners of a living space, and we like how the four round tapered legs lift it clear of the floor, letting light pass underneath and making the whole piece read as lighter than its 18.75kg suggests. It gives a room a calm horizontal line to settle around.

The fluted tambour sliding doors are the part we return to most. Rather than a flat front, the ribbed timber curves gently along the face, and the doors slide sideways to reveal storage without swinging out into a tight space. This is Dark Oak throughout, built from solid oak, oak veneer and MDF over a steel structure, with a Charcoal covering in polyester and artificial leather drawn from the Horizons S textiles that our range works with. Behind the tambour there is room for a set-top box, a games console or a couple of remotes, and the top surface holds a soundbar or suits a table lamp base at either end.

Each internal shelf takes up to 15kg, and the top will hold 120kg when the weight is spread evenly across it, so a large screen and a speaker sit safely. We hold this piece to the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards, the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, and assembly takes us around 30 minutes at 46cm deep. Keep it indoors, away from damp and direct heat.
